This is my self portrait done in cool colors. The idea with this portrait is to control reactions of the viewer through the use of color. Similar to Picasso's Blue period this portrait fuses traditional art styles like picasso's blue period with new age graffiti and mass media.

The style of art that I chose to use was Cubism. The most famous Cubist was Pablo Picasso, so I wanted to create something that came close to his style. I chose to do a modern day spin off of one of picasso's more famous Cubist paintings called three musicians. I enjoyed cutting up the shaped and playing with perspective. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be considering the shapes. I was suprised how much time it took to place everything in a flowing order.
Run DMC is also one of my favorite rap groups of all time. I grew up watching their videos on YO! MTV RAPS. They always remind me what real true Hip Hop sounds like.
